Thanks for the wonderful evening last night in the "Garage Mahal"
hi Karla; Just wanted to let you know your song "what else can I do" was performed in our church this morning as part of blessing the prayer shawls made for the Truth and Reconciliation Conference. It still brings tear to my eyes every time I hear it. So beautiful:)
Hi Karla: I just shared your song "What Else Can I Do" with some friends who are going through tough times. Its such a powerful song that it made them cry - in a good way
Hi Karla! Just a quick note to say 'hi' after using the card you gave us at Mt. Engadine on July 27 (our 8th wedding anniversary weekend) . We had a great time and we were sorry we had to leave so soon after the show to make it back to Calgary that evening. I just downloaded "Love's Great Equation" and googled 'Inspiration Awards' to find out more about how we may get to see you live again in November! Wishing you all the best and hoping to see you again sometime - and until then will enjoy the CDs we bought... God bless you and yours, VeraLucia and Tim Coughlan
Please come to Ontario.......I love your music!
Hi Karla :) Just wanted to drop a quick line into your guest book. My sister Dee (Dietrich) just shared your new song with me. Beautiful song and an absolutely beautiful voice. Great job. Congrats! Thanks for all sharing your talents! All the best of 2013 to you! Barb :)

Just wanted to tell you that I went down memory lane with you tonight, it is such a delight to see you and hear your beautiful voice and your inspired lyrics. I love you, wish you could do more of this. Mom
Loved the concert at Blue Chair last night! Your voice is haunting!!
Can you PLEASE send me the chords for "what else can I do" ?? I can't find them anywhere on the net AND I have been desparate for years to get them!!
Hi Karla, We met briefly at a home concert in my hood (Alison Murray and Paul Beck's House). My partner Steve and I fell in love with your music and have spent many a happy moment listening to your two CDs that we bought that night. Just wondering if you ever write songs for people? Last summer when Steve turned 50 I had a friend write a song based on one of Steve's poems. He was so touched that I'd like to do it again. I know you write most of your own lyrics but wondered if you'd consider doing something - loosely based - on one of his poems? Please let me know. His birthday is coming up again! Happy Trails. Laura Ghali
Good morning, Karla...trying to confirm the rumour that you're about to release another cd? Got an ETA? And a 'shout out' to Jesse...hope he's doing well!
Love Love Love your music !! THANK YOU !!
Where can I get the song, "Waiting for Beautiful"?
Love love love "The Embassy Sessions"! I am co-hosting a radio program on CKCU Ottawa today from 3:00-4:00EST "Window of Opportunity"...will try to get the host to play one of your tracks!
I love your profile..
In Waiting For Beautiful is the lyric 'You're waiting for wonderful .. All the time you're missing this'? Or is 'this' not in it?
I really really wish we could see they lyrics for Waiting For Beautiful. One section I listen to over and over again is ... You're waiting for beautiful. You're waiting for bliss. You're waiting for wonderful. All the time you're missing this. But is there a "this" at the end of the last line or am I wrong? Would love to know.
Karla, I was stoked to work at the Edmonton Folk Music Festival this year and you are the only famous person I can remember working with. I know, that sounds terrible, but what can I say? You are so beautiful and I can't wait to view one of your performances seeing as I worked so much I missed your stages at the Festival. If you are around Etown for Fringe come find me by the gazebo at Tupelo Flo's tent. Hope you are well. It was a pleasure meeting you. Take care Buh bye for now Christine
Folk Fest was so blessed!!! You are sooooo good!!!!
Hello, my name is Jay, looking for a position in your organization as tour bus driver. Resume and references upon request. yuk yuk.
EFMF just announced their lineup for August, and walla - there you are =) One of their best lineups ever, I think. Dare I dream to see you on stage beside Garnet Rogers? Blessings back to you.
Beautiful music. Great talent. Greetings from Israel.
I am not sure if you remember me but you were my instructor and Wordsworth camp a couple summers ago in the songwriting class! I am doing a paper on you for my english class and I was wondering if you would be available for an interview either on the phone or email or whatever works! Anyways hopefully we can get in touch! <3 Brianna
As a fan for a while, can I just say how happy I am that your album is finally available on iTunes. I know I am merely reiterating what many others have said but "What Else Can I do" never fails to move me.
Count me as someone who would love to see the lyrics to Waiting For Beautiful. :)
Karla, Thanks a million for taking my request and singing Glory Bound tonight at Bluebird North. Love it and love you!!
Thank you for singing into my life :) Hope you two are well, Mexico in a few weeks !!!!!! xoxoxox

Hi, Karla. Love yor rendition of Bye Bye Love. I hahave been trying to purchase it and can't locate it. Could you please advise?
Your fans and supporters have been asking for "Waiting For Beautiful" for years now. Can't we find out when, if ever, it will be released? Is there a rights issue because of JOA or something like that? Some news would be great.
I just bought The Embassy Sessions and have be playing it non stop. Having recently lost my husband, I find many of the songs speak to healing and recovering from loss. Thank you. I am hoping you will record Waiting For Beautiful sometime soon.
Karla...I love the new album. So terrific. Your lyrics speak volumes. Thank goodness for campfires.
Saw you in Grande Prairie, enjoyed your show, thanks
Just watched your GREAT performance at the Grand. Still hoping you will come to Toronto one day. We have a venue here called Hughs Room (www.hughroom.com) that would be perfect for your music. btw your Grand show was NOT on CBC nationwide but i found it on Rogers cable 131 CBRT (timeshifting channel) You may want to post that in case CBC ever reruns the show
Tonight I had my first opportunity to hear you perform live at the Mishah Ocean Foundation benefit at Spruce Grove and all I can can say is one word- STUNNING! Only every few years or so, will I hear a singer songwriter that will sound so completely fresh, with sensitive and captivating lyrics that will completely turn my head around. The last time that happened to me was with Ryan Bingham and tonight he has been knocked off that podium by you, Karla. Your 2 CDs that I bought tonight are now in my library playing in continuous rotation for probably forever!
i still want to drive the bus!! hope all is well, miss u and love you lots.
Thanks for coming way the heck to Grande Prairie. We didn't know until the day before we left that you were playing in Edmonton the day before, but it was way worth the drive. My entire family enjoyed the show, and we'll look forward to another chance to watch you perform. And man, can that fellow play the guitar!
I just bought your new cd today & already I love it! I'm particularly loving Glory Bound. My 14 year old son has been going through cancer treatment and it speaks to me so clearly of his suffering and what I can only hope will come of it. I notice that the lyrics to that one aren't on the website - any chance you could post them? Karla, I saw you years ago at the Nickelodeon folk club in Calgary when you just had demo discs out. Your songs made me cry then and they still do (but that's a good thing!). Best always, Lauren
My DEAREST KARLA YOU ARE GREAT! I ALWAYS REMEMBER THE EVENING WHEN I, HEARD YOUR PERFORMANCES, WISH THAT ONE DAY I, WILL HEAR YOU HERE IN HUNGARY TO. LOVE Rozsa

Hi Carla. I just heard your perf on Allison's show today. It was so beautiful it moved me to walk right over to Dan and hold him. It moved me to tears...thanks for the wonderful music... see you down the road sometime.
I attended Shawn's memorial service last night and was not only amazed by the love and compassion of the friends and family but also absolutely loved your song. I recently lost my dad to cancer and the story you shared of how the song came about and the song itself touched me deeply. Thank you.
So happy to read that you're going to tour more. I think your two albums are outstanding, you are indeed glory bound, if not already there :) See you in Edmonton on March 18!
it's cold up there...you should come to Austin...
Good to see you're still creating and performing Karla. I'll always be a fan!
Karla...I can't tell you how much I have been waiting for you to put out another album. I loved the Embassy Sessions and look forward to getting familiar with your new one.
Hi Karla, my daughter and I enjoyed your performance at Megatunes, and we're enjoying the new CD. Looking forward to seeing some tour dates for the Edmonton area in the New Year.
Love your music. Love your lyrics. Heard you at the Northern Lights Folk Club. I suggested "Out from Under" as the curtain call song for one of my students who directed a show called POOF (Lynn Nottage) about a woman who escapes spousal abuse.
Hey Karla - We are coming to Canmore on the 28th of Nov. to see you - so watch for us - can't wait to get my hands on your new album. Nancy
I'm really enjoying the "Embassy Sessions" cd - the recording's great, the musicians are very talented, and your voice is comfortable and assured. The cd reminds me of the Cowboy Junkies, but better! Sure glad I found you!
At previous difficult times in my life, there has always magically been a song that is very pertinent to what is going on - and gets me through. That song for me right now is Enough Love. Amazing lyrics and melody - that you for your amazing talent. Hope to see you at the Ironwood in November.
YOu wowed me at CAlgary at Southwood - I just wanted more! I'll be watching for your next visit to Calgary - looks like Nov29. Mix97.7 plays your stuff a lot-makes my day everytime I hear it.
Karla! You totally rocked Okotoks!! Your huge talent and warm personality impressed everyone. Everybody there loved you and can't wait for you to come back! Let us know next time you're in the Southern Alberta area and we'll be there. Loved Tim, too! Love, Debbie
LOVE YOUR MUSIC!!!!
Hey, Karla, I'm from Calgary and I've seen you at the ironwood with my friend Tim Leacock playing guitar for you. That was moving. Keep up the hard work.
I hope to see you in person some time from wendy sells
Karla, I am so thrilled that you will be putting out a new cd in the fall!!! I've been waiting, with baited breath, for this!!! Thank you so very much! Can't wait to see you in concert!

I miss you and the boys and cant believe it has been so long since I was running around your backyard every night, and chatting about wine :) i will keep in touch.
Once again was truly amazed by your beautiful voice - it still brings me to tears. Bragg Creek will not be the same. Can't wait for the new album. Nancy
Hi Karla, I mixed your set at the Bragg Creek Music Festival a few weeks ago. I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the performance. Thank you.
great stuff!!!!!!! Hope to see you soon @ carlson's on Macleod, High River ,AB
WOW. Just heard you for the first time. I'm going to Megatunes tomorrow to buy everything you've made. My friends are going to get sick of me talking about your music!
your voice...music...& beautiful spirit will forever touch the hearts of others. How blessed I feel to have your music in my life. :)
I heard your "blanket song" for the first time today on the radio. I stopped in my tracks, stunned to tears. One of my very favorite people in this world is going to pass on soon from pancreatic cancer and I can't be there to help comfort or say goodbye. Your lyrics perfectly described what I was feeling and the reasons I want to fly to England to see her. We have made a "Build a Bear" for her with a special recorded message of love inside and now your CD will go along with the bear to describe the love, peace and comfort we are sending. Thank you for saying what I could not find the words for. I'm eternally grateful.
I saw you perform at a friend's apartment last fall for a benefit, and since then I haven't been able to stop listening to your CD. Your song "what else can I do?" has gotten me through a lot. My mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer December 2007, and after a long 12 month battle, she passed away. Throughout my life, my mom has always told me that you know that the man your with really loves you when he brings you a blanket to keep you warm. While my mom was sick, that's all my dad felt like he could do for her. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for writing such a beautiful song. It will forever tie me to my mom and dad.
Hi, Karla. I was just watching a very old episode of "Party of Five." At the end of the episode, your song, "What Else Can I Do?" played in the background. I was so moved by it that I've been listening to it almost exclusively for a few days now. You have an exquisite voice that is coupled so nicely by the song's beautiful lyrics. I just bought your CD, The Embassy Sessions, and I can't wait to listen to your other songs. Hopefully one day I can see a live performance.
Karla, I love your music! I plan to go to Bragg Creek in May. How about coming to Okotoks? We have a Performing Arts Centre now (old church building). Perhaps we could get you on next season's concert list? I can talk to the guy in charge (or my husband can!). Best wishes and good luck on the tour. Debbie
Im in the UK and have for first time heard What Else can I do (blanket song). Can I say its absolutely amazing/awesome. Your voice and the melody brought me to tears (current situation). The lyrics can't be any better and its almost etherial. Its in my head forever and I love it to bits. Thanks to youtube I can hear it everytime I come online. Can't say another song except Sia's Breathe Me has affected me so much in such a short time. You have a wonderful gift there. Blessing and peace: leese
Hi Karla, Well, that is the 2nd time you've made me cry. Listening to your song on utube, What else can I do, that was the 2nd. The 1st was when my girlfriend who is getting a divorce and I saw you live, Come into my kitchen, you sang Bye Bye Love. We both cried very hard. Crying is good, gets it out. Somehow it says it all. You have such a beautiful uncluttered voice, Thank-you. Hope to see you again.
I saw you at the Comox Valley Music Fest a couple of years ago. I attend every year and each year I wonder what my "festival moment" will be. You were it for me that year. Your song "What else can I do?" touched my heart and left me weeping of course. After your performance you gave me a big hug and knew just where that connection to your lyrics was coming from. It was a "blanket" hug from the heart and I thank you for that. I of course rushed right over to the CD tent to buy your cd and still love it. Are there plans for another cd soon? I hope that you will come back to the Comox Valley Music Fest in the future. If you ever have any concerts planned on Vancouver Island I hope that you can let me know. I send you a big hug and hope to hear more of your musical journey. Much Love

My sister said there was another Karla Anderson out there...Glad to meet you.
Just wanted to say how happy I am for you that your music career is going so well. I remember staying at your house when I was twelve and listening to you play your guitar and sing in the back yard. I've always thought you had a lot of talent. Aunty Pam gave me your five song demo a few years ago, I listen to it all the time. I always forget to ask her to bring me your CD when she comes out here. I'd love to come to a show next time you play on the island, or maybe we'll make it out to Alberta one day and can see you there. Take care. Jenaya
What a wonderful gift, your song, voice and music.

Heard you at Jack Singer in front of Manhattan Transfer. You are amazing. "Bye bye love" almost made me cry.
Was at Mathattan Transfer too, My husband and I enjoyed you lots. I found myself singing along to "What else can I do", but didn't know where I had heard it before, then found out you were on the "Alberta Bound" programme. It obviously stuck! I have just bought your CD which I am looking forward to hearing when it arrives. Keep up the excellent work!!
Similar to the last two comments, I was also at the Manhattan Transfer concert on Oct 23 (my birthday), and walked away mesmerized by your voice and songs. You have a special talent, and I look forward to seeing / hearing you again soon. Thank you Karla.
I also saw you for the first time at the Manhattan Transfer Concert and thought you were fantastic. Your lyrics were raw and real, your voice was soulful and beautiful. Thank you for following your heart and singing!
Saw you open for Man. Trans. tonight. You were amazing!! They were good but I could have listened to you all evening. Can't remember the name but especially loved the song you did right before "Bye Bye Love". Looking forward to hearing more from you.
Your profound lyrics continue to parlay my deepest feelings about love and life.
"What else can I do?" is nothing short of Holy. Thank you.
Karla, I was so happy to be able to hear you at hulbert's this past week. Your voice is even stronger and more soulful live than on your recording. The cello was beautiful, too. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
Karla, your voice still stops me in my tracks from wayyy back when. I was counting the years, but will stop at "decades" ... Congratulations, and all the best to you. :)
Hello Karla, I unfortunately missed you last year when you played the Blue Chair Cafe....can't believe you were two blocks away! Anyway, hope to see a new CD and thanks again for corresponding with me last year. Wooohooo on the YouTube stuff! Worldwide baby!
Karla when are you coming to Saskatoon? Hope it's soon

Hi...we were at the U-22 concert as well and were in absolute awe of your talent...loved!!! the new song that you tried out on us and are eagerly awaiting your new CD.
The show last night at the museum was a treat. Thank you for supporting the young talent through CKUA. You one of our true musical gems!
I nursed my wife for the last three years of her life. She had Parkinson's disease and latterly I stood behind her to "hold her head up high" You can imagine how your "What else can I do affected me. Let me know the history of the song
you're still the coolest ever.... read something cool about soulmates, and it made me appreciate your time, even more than i always have.... bra.d
i think that you are a really sweet girl could you please contact me
Hi I love the blanket song. I saw you at the pioneer place a few years back myself and my three sisters really enjoyed the show. I also saw you at the coffee place in stony plain I was playing and singing there myself. I only went a couple of times but it was fun. Have you ever gone to fiddlers roost? I think they have open mike on Thursdays its a lot of fun and there are a lot of talented people there. I am moving back to B.C in mid April. There is a big out door show in Kaslo in August I think some very interesting places to play all around B.C maybe you could give the interior of B.C a try for all of the festivals in the summer you would have a lot of fun.
Karla. Karla. Karla. When can we look forward to your release of a new CD. Thank God I'm old enough not to hold my breath until you do. Be warned that I will use that tactic as a last resort if we have to wait too much longer. Looking forward to attending your next "gig" and hoping it too will be soon. Yours, One of your growing fan base.. jim
Hi Karla, saw you at the loft concert at Steve and Zoe's place...phenomenal...I loved you!!!!!! Aside from your amazing voice, and lyrics, you radiate a genuine beauty. You are an amazing artist and a great soul. Thank you for a wonderful evening

Hi there again Karla - we have been waiting not so patiently for your new album - hope it is here soon - are you doing any touring this fall/winter?
I heard you tonight at the Royal, and you Kevin Welched me. That is, there is no way that dude's next cd could be better than the last, because how do you top sublime? But he always does. The new songs you played for us tonight were fantastic. I can tell already the next cd will top ES, and I lurrrve that cd. So ...... :) Blessings back to you!
Look forward to seeing you again, always a treat. I'll be at the Museum concert tonight for David Francey. Hope your next CD is coming along well. Best regards.
i was at your concert last night at the vic juba, and was very touched by your music.i hope you put out a cd with your new compositions on it in the near future.
We heard your music tonight at the Vic Juba Theatre in Lloydminster. We were touched by the beauty, simplicity and yet depth of meaning in your music. You have been given an amazing gift to share. We wish you continued success in your future.
I heard your song on a homefest cd while driving out to Edson and had to pull over. What Else Can I Do.....intensely tender. Thank you
I like the music and hope you have a long and extremely successful career.
I bought Embassy Sessions and really enjoy it. But, I too am hoping for a recording of "Waiting For Beautiful". Any possibility of that?
Thank you so much for singing your beautiful song at Liana's Walk for Hope. The words to your song "What Else Can I Do" were so meaningful and touched us all. Thank you for sharing your beautiful words and voice with us. You touched our hearts.
Hi Karla - I cannot express my gratitude enough for singing 'What Else Can I Do' at Liana's Walk for Hope last night. Your soft words brough a sense of hope and comfort in these trying times and was a perfect compliment for our candlelight walk in memory of Liana. It was very much appreciated by all in attendance. Wishing you continued health, friendship and success.
Thanks again for sharing your music at the Blue Chair last Friday. You appear to truly appreciate others, musicians and listeners alike and of course, your gift and its source. Happy Trails Bruce
I just came from a funeral today, and your song "What else Can I Do" was played. It was so fitting and so caring and gentle, and one so many of us can relate to - a gorgeous song, and you sing it so beautifully! You've truly been blessed with a wonderful voice and the abiity to create impactful lyrics! I am going out tomorrow to buy your album! I can't wait to hear it all, and to hear you live one day!
Hey Karla, Saw you a few years ago in Rosebud, been looking forward to seeing your next show. Noticed you were scheduled in Jasper in Aug. but it got cancelled? Any chance you're coming back here? (soon?)
When I heard your voice on tv one morning I thought you were the human embodiment of the sound of the loon in the wilderness. I couldn't wait for your cd to come out and of course I ran out and bought it, but I was dissappointed. There was just too much background clutter that drowned your voice and I thought what a shame. I'm hoping in your next cd your voice will stand almost solo and that's how I long to hear it like the first time accompanied by one instrument, your guitar. Simple is almost always the best. all the best, Teresa from Spruce Grove
Hi - I was at the Open Air Engineered theatre in Calgary for your January 2007 concert. Your song "What Else Can I Do?" had a real impact on me. In December, 2006 both my mother and boyfriend passed away. I had just finished a beautiful quilt for my boyfriend's Christmas present but he did not get to see it. Instead, he was wrapped in my quilt for his funeral. You are correct, at a time of tremendous grief, there are no words that can comfort us. With your song, I can see my boyfriend wrapped in his blanket keeping safe and warm. He loves his "blankies". Thank you for the song that touched my heart so deeply. Wendy Sells
Saw you at this years folkfest......Wow...Would like to listen some more. Hope I can find your CD. When I went to the music tent....you were all gone...(sigh) Hope to catch you in concert soon. Thanks.
Thank you CBC and "Canada live". Wouldn't have heard you otherwise, and for that , I would have gravely missed out.
hi im impressed with how well you are doing
Fantasitc EFMF. Managed to see you at all your venues. Luv the new songs especially Bones(?). When will you release a new CD? Absolute magic at the final workshop. Karla with horns:-) Taking your CD in for a Mexican coleague to hear. She went to see Los de Abajo but said she was really impressed by you. Hope to have a new convert.
Hi! You were so gracious in speaking with Mar'ce and me (the writer-women)at Folk Fest yesterday. Your lyricks have so inspired my new protagonist. If you're interested in coming to SC let me know. I'll try to get gigs for you( although, to be honest I've had no experience in do such a thing. I can learn.) and you can even stay with us there between Nov. & March any year. You are a beautiful soul! Thank you for the gifts you give to the world! June
Hi, Karla! It's Susan, your "Nunsense" friend. I just wanted to let you know that your music continues to inspire and enlighten. I had the good fortune of seeing you open for Ruthie Foster in February. I was absolutely blown away by the song about the POW who changed his outlook from "Why Me?" to "Show Me!" That has been my mantra now, as I have recently been diagnosed with cancer. I refuse to ask "Why Me?!" I have kept asking God, "Show me!" I start chemo tomorrow and will be singing this song -- albeit from memory (when does this next album get released?!) Thank-you SO much for the clarity and inspiration! Love you much!!
heard ur song on "Joan of Arcadia" the lyrics grabbed my attention which is how i came across this.. great song!!
I first heard your song "What Else Can I do?" on a TV show, "Joan of Arcadia," and I just thought it was pretty amazing.
Hello Karla, I fell in love with your CD when I heard it from beginning to end. I want to know when you are coming to Manitoba!!??
My first contact with your song "What else can I do" was about a 1/2 hour before my mothers funeral and I had been doing "fine", felt strong enough to tackle the day and then I heard your song....it opened this floodgate that I had held soooo well for almost 10 days...just wanted to say thank you...it was necessary and as I sat at her grave one year later our time was spent with your music....I wish I knew what inspired this song...I'm sure you've had that question before....if I may ask....
Hey Karla! Totally loved seeing you again at Kings University College aways back... You have a great way of capturing people and making time evaporate.... I just listened to your CD again this evening and remembered how awesome you were to see live. You are simply fabulous. All the best, and I can hardly wait to see what you do in the future! :-D My mom (Margaret D) says hi, too!
I saw your performance in Medicine Hat AB. at the tongue on the post festival. I thoroughly enjoyed your style, and music. The melodies and words just seemed to come from some where deep within you. Yet you still seem to remain so light hearted. A thrill to sit and enjoy your style and music. Best wishes to a climbing star. Ron Kehn
Saw you at the Early Stage Saloon on April 15th. Wonderful show. You were fantastic. That was my first time seeing you in person, you put on a moving show. I am definitally be looking forward to seeing you live again.
Absolutely love your voice. I,m wearing out the cd. Please come to Nova Scotia.
Hey Karla! When the heck are you and Dave along with Kevin and I ever going to get together :-) Hope all is well! Linda
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7l08XFCXrR8 Hope its ok with you Karla???
I have just gotten off the phone from a lengthy and deep conversation from a good friend who had recently separated from a loving relationship. I myself have experienced a similar relationship. And after all of this I happened to listen to a song of yours on Magic 99. So I opened up your website, and read your lyrics, which sparked many emotions in myself.(I also lsitened to you music, absolutely INCREDIBLE) Thank you for your honest, and deep passion for honouring who you are, and sharing this with your beloved audience. I hope, and pray that your audience gets bigger and bigger, and that you continue to respect and honour your Self and share this in your lyrics as you bring your talents and gifts to and with others, Blessings and Peace Karla, Blaine
hi auntie, i listen to all your music almost every day, its awesome!!
I first saw you at "Alberta Session" two years ago. You became one of my favourite singers. I waiting, not so patiently, for the release of your CD and it was so worth the wait. Then I saw you when you opened for Ruthie Foster last year. I had goose bumps when you sang. I now will get to see you two more times, first at the Ruthie Foster concert and then this year's "Alberta Session", and I can't wait for either. I may not see you perform live often but it is always an extra special treat. I think you are truly amazing. I'd say more but I'm at a loss for words that could properly describe how wonderful I think you are. May you get back (double) all the joy you send to other. Choose to live happy, Elaine
Hey Karla! Just want to let you know how truly happy I am for you :) I've loved you (and your voice) ever since the beginning. I really hope to come to a concert of yours one of these days soon! Keep up the good work! God Bless :) *Laura*

Hi Karla, Just wanted to let you know I really enjoyed your show in Medicine Hat(and the workshop you did with Ron!). I had a friend drive all the way from Calgary just to hear you sing and she was glad she came(first got turned on to you at the Canmore Folk Fest last summer). Can't wait for your next cd! Peggy
New recording out this year? BRING IT !! Blessings back to you :-)
Love your music! If you are ever looking to tour Ontario, send me a note. I am the Artistic Director for Windsor Folk and would certainly like to book a show! We run a concert series from September through June each year and do some summer house concerts and Wine Pavillion events. There are a number of venues in southern Ontario and Michigan that we're connected with that would book you. I hope to see/hear you coming through our area soon! Best Regards, Jim Stevenson
Karla,Heard you at the Nick last night, for the second time. Thought I would take a minute to tell you that I am very glad you decide to share you music and your voice. It is a treat for us all. Never doubt that decision. Thank you!
gentle, warm, heartfelt human. I am richer for hearing your wonderful voice. Thank you TM
Glad you were able to find your old address book. I'll be looking forward to hearing your new CD in '07. You're a long way from Southern California but I hope you make it here some time. Keep making your music, this world needs all the music it can get. Have a wonderful Holiday Season.
I had been thinking about you a lot and then was given your CD. Beautiful, I'm so proud of you.- Carla
Thought what else can I do was great. I'm trying to track down where I can purchase your album in Calgary. Thanks for the great music. Colin
Karla, I heard you sing What Else Can I Do, and what can I say.... MORE MORE MORE!!!! Keep singing, keep writing, and please please, keep sharing!!!! Be well. di
Yes, you've guessed it! I heard 'What else would I do' on J of A show. I thought it was great and had to find out more! Just found the site and I am going to have a good look at your music and words, music from the heart, words from the soul!
Hi Karla haven't seen you for a while. I am making a point to come to homefest on Sunday. I am bringing my daughter with me. I have been playing a lot of guitar and at times I am even a little pleased with my progress. I bought a new guitar it is a larivee made out of australian black wood. I love it. I have started my middle daughter playing too, she is a real hippie chick, I am so proud of her. She and a girl friend attended a peace conference in Edmonton they were the youngest participants. KEEP PLAYING Brian
I want to buy a blanket for everyone I care about. I love this song.
I am so glad that I found you thru magic99 web site!!! I have caught this song twice on this station and fell in love with the lyrics instantly, only both times they played it I happened to be driving in my car and could not write the artist name down, to make a long story short I knew the laast name but was struggling to get your first name, it was a toss up between carla, karla, karly, carny??? All I remembered was the d.j. stating that you were from Spruce Grove!!! Where can I purchase this cd? I am so thankful that I turned on the station the day that I did and heard that song, it was very calming and made me appreciate some of the things that I have been neglecting! Sorry to rambble I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the song and hope to find your disc to get to hear the rest of what you can share, I thought the song was called blanket but perhaps it is called " what else can I do" ?? New fan Roseanne
Loved your song "Waiting for Beautiful" in JOA. Is it available anywhere? Could you post the lyrics? Thanks!
you are so talented, and i love this style of music. it is so unique, but also low key. looking forward to hearing even more!
Looking for a perfect gift for a good friend, and the "The Embassy Sessions" fits the bill. Looking forward to hearing more great music and lyrics from you. All the best.
Congrats on your nomination for Western Canadian Music Alliance 2006 Award for Outstanding Roots Recording. The other nominees might as well stay home. Your music touches my heart so deeply. Can't wait for your next CD.
Hi Karla We enjoyed listening to your CD on a deck over looking the evening lights of Budapest and surrounding area. Love Rozsa & Veronica
G'day Where can one find «wainting for beautiful» which was featured on Joan of Arcadia? Loved your other song so much i bought embassy sessions. Great stuff. Thanks tom
Wow! You know music hits that core of one's spirit at any given time. I am suffering from a disability waiting for surgery and there are days when the pain is more than I can take. Your lyrics have captured what I am feeling and what those around me feel. They don't know what to do...but getting a blanket, giving a shoulder, saying a prayer are exactly what I need. I have been touched....forever.
I would like to purchase the CD which has the song What Else Can I DO please tell me how to get it. Thank you
Just came from the festival and wanted to say again how impressed I am with your talent. Your voice reaches into the heart. More than once I had a tear in my eye. Congratulations on your success and here's to much more. Lot's of love, Erin
Hi Karla..... Saw you on GMC Looks good on you.
I have an "extra" job driving limos in the evenings and on weekends, and this past Saturday I had some wait time and was listening to CBC Radio One. Don't even know the name of the show, but was from the Yardbird in Edmonton. You sang "What else can I do?" and "Shining". I have to say I loved both, especially the former. The gent from Saskatchewan playing guitar was terrific also. Is your CD available in major outlets? e.g. HMV or similar. I look forward to picking it up soon. Best of luck to you for ever continuing success. Maybe you can even carpet the chicken coop. Allen.
Hi Karla, Last fall my best friend was dying of breast cancer. The special Alberta Bound was on and since she loved the Alberta music scene, we watched it together. Your song made the room go completely silent, and we all just sat there and listened and held hands. She died the next day. Your song brings back that memory, not in a sad way, but just the way we just sat there and held hands. Thank you Karla. (I am listening to you on CBC right now).
Hi, Karla. Heard you on CBC - I think with Sheila Rogers. Loved you music and lyrics. Can't wait to hear more.
I also saw your feature on Alberta Bound and was greatly impressed by your song "What else can I do". You'll be happy to know that your music made it all the way to Newfoundland and I'll be passing your name along to friends and family. Michelle St. John's, NF
Karla blew us away on the Alberta Bound CBC feature this w/e. I've enjoyed Jann Arden and Nickelback for years but you even topped them! Such a smooth, honest and real sound. I'm a homeschool mom of 3 on the Gulf Islands who loves to sing. Thanks for the reminder to do it more!! Now to figure out how to grab your Cd w/out doing online...and may catch you at Vancouver Island Musicfest. Valerie
love your music, I lost my husband to suicide last year and your song what else can I do , has touched my soul , it says it all thank you. I want your c.d for sure, all the best I am sure we will be hearing from you
Another person who saw the CBC special last night and fell in love with your voice. Blown away by "What else can I do" as many were. I think we have all been in that place where someone you love has lost someone they love and there are no words, nothing you can buy to heal, just being there sometimes helps....you captured that helplessness in a song...and I am sending your CD, along with a beautiful blanket to my aunt in South Africa who recently lost her only son, my cousin. Thank you for sharing your gift, please don't stop writing and performing.
Saw the CBC special and was very taken with your lovely voice and music. I often give blankets to people for gifts for their children so the song of course touched me and I will share it with all my friends as soon as I can find it in local music store. I see you are heading to Comox in July I hope you enjoy our Valley and I hope there are still some tickets left. Much success in your life.
I saw a CBC programme last night that featured you, and I can't tell you how much I fell in love with your sound. The icing on the cake was when your song "What Else Can I Do" came on and your brief introduction about how the song came about... my sister-in-law has but days to live having been diagnosed only two weeks ago with end of stages liver cancer. As she slips in and out of consciousness, I watch my widowed mother-in-law and husband both writhing in emotional pain, feeling absolutely powerless. Thank you for putting my thoughts and feelings into song ... aching for my mother-in-law and my husband...and what else can I do? Thank you....
oh wow, just saw the CBC gig, and your pening of "What Else" is the most beautiful songs ever written,..it made me cry,(an aquaintance just lost his son)...some day perhaps i will see you play, good luck! Sincerely, Marcos.
Just saw a little clip on a Kurt Browning special tonight that highlighted this wonderful singer! The song "what else can I do" really touched a cord with me, and I needed to find out where to get Karla's music. Best wishes on what I hope will be a wonderful career.
WOW! Just heard you on the CBC special "Alberta Bound". Very impressive! I see that you perform with Keith Glass - he is an amazing talent. I live in Arnprior and often see/hear Keith in the Ottawa area. Hope to see you in concert soon. The Stewart Park Festival in Perth, Ontario would be a great gig for you. Please check it out! In the meantime - Best wishes! Yours in music! :-) XO
Hi Karla: Had hoped to attend your concerts at Knox Church in Calgary earlier this spring- but couldnt get away. Congrats on scoring big with Joan of Arcadia! Would like to email you for details about the recording studio in Edmonton who produced your last album. Henri
